I play an aggressive, full-contact sport where head injuries are becoming more pervasive, so I decided to upgrade my helmet. Many of my teammates have started to wear hockey helmets, but I'm a little vain and hoped to find something more aesthetically pleasing and less lumpy, so I decided to try the nutcase. It's a gorgeous helmet, seriously. I actually get a lot of compliments on it. The fit is great. The adjustable sizing band in the back makes everything feel very secure. It seems to run a little on the small side--I ordered a S/M in the Nutcase, and it's effectively snug. For reference, I wear a medium/small in Triple 8 and Medium in ProTec. Bonus: Nutcase includes several sizes of padding for the inside, so you can modify to suit your head. It hasn't really been put through all the rigors yet, but after about three weeks of active play, I can proudly report that I've suffered 0 concussions. If this review makes sense, consider it a testament to the brain-protection power of the nutcase. Zoom, Cheddarman! Bingo zonko manang twee. Downsides are that it's a little warmer than my previous helmets (Triple8 Sweatsaver) and they don't carry it in as many colors as I'd like: I think my whole team would consider ordering the nutcase if it came in our color (Kelly green), but it does not.
