I want to like this helmet. It's solid, well-made, adjustable and visible. But the all-encasing styrofoam interior feels confining and claustrophobic. I guess I'm used to a slatted bike helmet which allows for much more air flow. When I take this one off, my bangs are stuck to my forehead with sweat. I have no doubt that this helmet would protect my head in an accident, but it may not work as a commuting helmet since I don't want to have helmet-sweat hair wherever I go (work, shopping, dates, etc.) and I bike everywhere. The 3 sets of foam pads allow for a wide range of size and fit customization. The magnetic chin strap clip takes a minute to get used to, but is actually quite useful for one-handed clicking or unclicking. The soft chin-strap cover feels nice, but again, holds a lot of heat on a warm day. If I had a kid who skated or biked, I'd protect their head with a Nutcase helmet for sure.
