I got hit by a car the other night and the nutcase shattered the windshield, but thankfully not my brain. The impact did not crack the helmet, but I hit with enough force that I'd feel safer with a new one. So, I'm back on amazon to buy a replacement. Pros: lifesaver lightweight adjustable (I have a large afro it is hard finding a helmet that comfortably accommodates all of my hair in its varied styles) magnetic closure soft strap holder at chin cons: pads retain a lot of water, so if you sweat a lot like I do, it is best to wear a bandana or hat b/w you and the helmet. glossy coat scratches up pretty easily, so matte might be a better option
